You Cross Portals Every Day

But… do you know what’s on the other side?

In Code Park, Pedro, Denise, Gabriela, Lucas, and the others step through a portal into the digital world.

But once inside, they don’t find just games and adventures.

They face corrupted zones, poisoned code, clones built from leaked data, traps disguised as harmless offers — and even the Dark Hacker, who manipulates with words and deceives through appearances.

Sound familiar?

It should.

Every click is a portal.

Every notification is an invitation.

When you open a new website, download an app, tap a link on WhatsApp or TikTok, you are crossing into another digital world.

And not all of those worlds are safe.

Unlike the Guardians, you may be entering alone.

The Risks Are Real — And Everywhere

1. Social Engineering: The Real-World Dark Hacker

Just like the Dark Hacker in the story, real attackers don’t break in by force.

They manipulate trust.

“Click here to win a rare skin.”

“Your package is delayed. Update your address.”

“Your friend sent you a video. Watch now.”

What looks harmless can be bait designed to steal your data, hijack your account, or take control of your device.

2. Invisible Permissions: Your Digital Clones

In the book, a clone of Lucas appears — built from his own data.

In real life, something similar happens every day.

Many apps collect:

  • your location
  • your contacts
  • your microphone and camera access
  • your usage habits

You approved it with a single tap.

Without realizing it, you helped build a digital version of yourself — used by systems and companies you may never even see.

3. Weak Passwords: Broken Keys

In Code Park, the Guardians protect the system with encrypted identities and unique digital signatures.

What about you?

If your password is “123456,” your birthday, your pet’s name, or something easy to guess, you’ve left the door open.

Guardian Tip:

Use strong, unique passwords with letters, numbers, and symbols.

Always enable two-factor authentication when available.

4. Public Wi-Fi: An Unshielded Tunnel

In the Park, heroes only access the network through secure routing and protected channels.

In real life, connecting to public Wi-Fi without protection is like crossing a portal without armor.

Cafés, malls, and schools may have networks that are monitored or compromised.

Attackers can:

  • intercept what you type
  • steal login credentials
  • inject malware into your device

Avoid accessing sensitive accounts on public Wi-Fi. Use trusted protection tools whenever possible.

The Lesson Is Clear

The digital world can be amazing.

But it can also be a maze filled with traps.

In the story, the Guardians enter the Park because they trust each other.

Even so, they face danger — because not every system is safe, and not every invitation is honest.

One line from the Dark Hacker says it all:

“Lucas… you’re the flaw that remained.”

Any digital or emotional weakness can be exploited.

Knowledge is protection.

Awareness is a shield.

Final Tips for Young Guardians

Be cautious with unexpected links.

Review app permissions regularly.

Keep your device protected and updated.

Use strong, unique passwords.

Talk to a trusted adult if something feels wrong.

You are a Guardian too.

Protect your device.

Protect your mind.

And never cross a digital portal unprepared.
