Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock

When choosing teams becomes a ritual.

And code becomes friendship.

Golden afternoon light filtered through the oak tree above them.

Tablets rested on the grass. Laughter stayed low, contained.

A small circle formed — and with it, an unspoken pact.

Pedro stood up, eyes bright.

“Let’s decide teams with style.

Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock.

More strategy. More fun.”

It felt like a game.

But anyone who’s read Chapter 3 knows something bigger started right there.

That moment marked the first structure of trust among the Guardians — a bond that would carry them through the entire story.

How the game works

The expanded version of the classic game was created by Sam Kass and popularized by The Big Bang Theory.

Inside Code Park, though, it takes on a deeper meaning.

Denise steps in as the keeper of the rules:

Paper covers rock.

Rock crushes lizard.

Lizard poisons Spock.

Spock smashes scissors.

Scissors decapitate lizard.

Lizard eats paper.

Paper disproves Spock.

Spock vaporizes rock.

Rock crushes scissors.

Simple rules.

But the result mattered.

The teams were set

Pedro’s team: Denise, Lucas, and Cauê — with Rafael operating remotely from the cloud.

Tiago’s team: Gabriela, Lara, and Victor — completing the circle.

A geek ritual. A moment of choice.

This wasn’t just about picking sides.

It was the first shared code among the group.

A signal that logic, humor, respect, and strategy mattered here.

It was also the beginning of relationships strong enough to face social engineering traps, digital isolation, dark zones of the network, and the rising threat of the Dark Hacker.

Revisit Chapter 3

Read it again and you’ll feel it — that brief moment of excitement before the game begins.

Back when everything felt light.

Before the mission became real.

In Code Park, even the simplest choices carry meaning.

Every decision holds emotional encryption.

Every bond has purpose.
